god i love these so much.
My friend and I have been having a fight over highland cows for 2.5 years.
She showed me a picture, it was obviously a yak, she kept calling it a highland cow.
It doesn’t really matter. I laugh my ass off either way.

You know you use most of these services—you might as well have some nice icons for when you link to them from your website.
Is it weird that I felt like I was about to start drooling when I saw these?
After we read “Night” in English, we were assigned a service/”impact project”.
Julia had seen the Invisible Children and really wanted us to do it… we were all on board after we saw just the trailer for the movie.
Can a story change the world? In the spring of 2003, three young Americans traveled to Africa in search of such a story. What they found was a tragedy that disgusted and inspired them. A story where children are the weapons and the victims. The “Invisible Children: Rough Cut” film exposes the effects of a 20-year-long war on the children of Northern Uganda. Children who live in fear of abduction by rebel soldiers, and are being forced to fight as part of a violent army. See this film, you will be forever changed.
We showed power points and videos to our English classes, sold their bracelets and t-shirts, started a “schools for schools” chapter at our high school, and it’s been… awesome. We watched all of the videos beforehand, there was a lot of crying involved, it was amazing.
“What’s our goal? To depress them?”
“It’s called raising awareness!”
I don’t want it to sound like I’m seeking praise or being a prosleytizing ass hole, but when you have time, check their videos out. Get involved. At the very least, buy a bracelet. (Side note, they’re really fun to play with.)
Watch it. You won’t regret it.

Memorial Day: Seriously though, we’re taking the day off and so should you! Get out there and enjoy some family time in the sun before you crawl back into your self-contained WoW Pod and re-immerse yourself in antisocial isolation and Funyun crumbs.
Don’t panic! We’ll be back shortly to waste your time with the most frivolous nonsense the web has to offer. In the meantime, here are a couple of übergeeky belly dancers doing their thing to “The Konami Code” by the Gothsicles:
If that’s not worth fighting to protect, I don’t know what is.
